How to Read Your Home Inspection Report

Receiving your home inspection report is a big step in your home-buying journey. At Just Call Joe Inspections, we know that a report full of technical terms and confusing formatting doesn’t do you any good—so we use specialized software to create a clear, easy-to-use digital report that makes navigating your inspection results simple.

We provide two separate reports:

1. The Full Home Inspection Report – A detailed breakdown of everything we inspected, including minor maintenance items and significant findings.

2. The Insurance Report – A separate document designed to help answer any questions your insurance broker may have. We do not recommend forwarding this directly to your broker, as it may contain more information than they require. And never send your full report.

Navigating Your Report

When you first open your report, you’ll see a navigation pane on the side. This allows you to quickly move between different sections:

🛠 Minor & Maintenance Items – General upkeep tasks or minor repairs to plan for.
⚠ Significant Findings – Issues that require immediate attention or things you need to know to make the right decision for you and your family.

You can also access a summary section that highlights the most important points or jump directly to specific areas of the home.
