From the mouths and minds of young storytellers…

June 23rd, 2011
It’s always great when we have opportunity to sit and chat with our friend Magzy’s (especially while enjoying a bag of Kettle Korn goodness!), but it’s equally enjoyable to hear the Magzy’s success story through the mind of others – such as Miramichi’s Grade 8 student Carter Maresh (http://miramichirural.nbed.nb.ca/video/magzys-story).

As adults, I believe it’s an amazing feeling when we realize we’ve encountered an exciting new product, have shared conversation with someone who has found success in their lives, or even when we’ve just stumbled across a new idea of our own…but it’s awesome when those same realizations are through the eyes of our youth. Our future leaders. Future entrepreneurs.

Congratulations to Carter Maresh! Great job! Kind of makes you wonder what fantastic accomplishments are in store for Carter as he makes his way through the future, doesn’t it? I’m thinking ‘Great Things’…

Haven’t tried Magzy’s Kettle Korn? Waiting for an invitation? Here it is. Drop into your local Grocery Store. Buy bags of it – it’s delicious! They haven’t started carrying it yet? Ask them to. Can’t wait? Have it delivered directly to you from here  http://www.magzyskettlekorn.com/

Enjoy!

Summertime…

June 17th, 2011

This week saw our company release an exciting report about Recreational Properties (http://nbbusinessjournal.canadaeast.com/transcript/article/1415026).

Sunny days are here! Are you getting away this summer? Packing up the family? Spending time with friends? Hiding out at a lakefront getaway? No phone. No internet. No contact with the outside world. Sound perfect, or impossible?

Given our social media connections these days (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) through iPhones/iPads, Blackberry’s, etc., are you prepared to take some time for only ‘You’? Completely disconnected?

We’d love to stay in touch with you, but we all need some ‘downtime’…some time to recharge and rejuvenate. Take it. You deserve it!

A New Day, a New Mortgage Rate…

June 10th, 2009

Well, it’s happening. As predicted, mortgage rates are once again begining to creep upward following announcements late yesterday and early today. With reassurance from our Finance Minister that things are starting to look up in Canada, other markets around the Globe stabilizing, and a strong housing market here in Fredericton, there’s no better time to be buying or selling a home.

Now, please remember that, while rates have increased ever so slightly, they’re still well-below the rates of years past, and opportunities are everywhere (for both a ‘Buyer’ and a ‘Seller’)! Whether buying, selling, building, or simply curious about today’s market, we’re here to help.

As a second part to today’s notes, I’d like to bring your attention to an ongoing battle that a friend (and person tied to our industry) is bravely fighting. A ‘battle’ that would be best fought by those of us strong enough to take the fight to those who can make change. After reading the attached article (The Andrew Goodridge Fight), please feel compelled to act.

Be well,

Joe

The healing process…

May 26th, 2009

Well, I did it. I ran the entire 5kms of the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada’s ‘Spring Sprint’ in Fredericton this past Saturday! (although some may suggest that ‘jogging’ and/or ‘flailing’ would best describe my form of ‘forward motion’)

Aside from the run, I’m very proud to say that my EXIT family, friends, colleagues, and associates pledged almost $900.00 for my efforts, helping ‘Team Duane’ raise over $6500.00 (with the entire Fredericton Leg of the ‘Spring Sprint’ raising in excess of $46000.00!).

Now the healing begins…not only for my tired body, but hopefully for all of those affected by this terrible disease/affliction. There are truly ‘warriors’ among us – whether affected directly by a tumor, or by the effects of losing a loved-one. I wish them well.

As I close this post, I’d like to take opportunity to remind you that on-line pledges are still accepted until June 30th at the link: Sponsor Joe\’s \’Run\’ in the Spring Sprint

Be well,

Joe

‘Spring Sprint’ is almost here!

May 17th, 2009

This coming Saturday (May 23rd), I’ll be participating in the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada’s ‘Spring Sprint’ for the estimated 55,000 Canadians currently living with a brain tumour, and the 10,000 more that will be diagnosed this year.

I’m running in honor of my great friend (and ’survivor’) Dave D’Entremont, and in memory of Krista’s uncle Duane White. Help me imagine a cure by going to the following link and making a pledge donation: http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=646781&LangPref=en-CA

Thanks for your support!
